About Us
The Schaefer Family Farm has been in business since 1949. We are an actual working farm in the heart of scenic Hunterdon County. Owned and Operated by the Schaefer Family, members of the farming community for four generations.
The farm stands offers milk, butter and cheese, and we also have candy, chips, snacks, jellies, jams, local honey and ice cream. We also carry a large assortment of Country Treasures and Seasonal decorations. Enjoy over 100 scents of soy blend candles from “Our Own Candle Company”.
Our farm stand is filled with our fall harvest. You will find Country Treasures and fall decorations. Our own Indian corn, gourds, kale, corn stalks and a wide variety of colorful mums take home some local apple cider and fresh baked pies.
Meet the new arrivals in the Petting Zoo, and watch the goats showing off on their “Trapeze” and feed the animals.
Summer and Fall are our most busy time of the year, where everyone can enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables, from our garden. We also harvest over 50 varieties of Heirloom and Hybrid Tomatoes. Our summer fresh produce includes such items as: peppers, eggplant, beans, peas, asparagus, cucumbers, zucchini and much more.
You will be able to enjoy our Home Grown Sweet Corn. “Jersey Corn” is usually still available from the 4th of July until the October frosts.
During the day, in the fall, bring your family on a scenic hayride through our 40+ acres of home grown pumpkins, free with the purchase of a pumpkin. Weekends and Holidays from the third week in September, thru to Halloween weekend.
Farm Stand is OPEN:
Monday – Saturday 9:30am to 6:00pm.
Sunday 10:00am to 5:00pm.

Once Halloween is over we take down the show and quickly construct or Winter Wonderland, Holiday Lights on the Farm Light Show. The Schaefer Family proudly presents our Twinkling and Glowing Lights for your enjoyment from Thanksgiving through New Year’s Day.
OPEN Sunday, Wednesday & Thursday 5:30 to 9:00 PM; and Fridays & Saturdays 5:30 to 10:00PM.
Bring your family for our drive through light display. View thousands of colorful farm and holiday themed lights from the comfort of your
own vehicle. The cost is $12.00 per carload, $17.00 per passenger van, and $27.00 per busload. Purchase a season pass for $35.00 per car load and enjoy the show again and again.
While you’re here, stop in at the stand for your Christmas trees, wreathes, grave blankets, holiday crafts and decorations, and much, much more.
Our winter hours are 11:00 – 3:00pm 7 days a week November 1st thru November 25, 2009. Starting November 27th, we are open 11:00 – 3:00 Monday thru Thursday and 11:00 – 9:00pm Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Santa Claus will be visiting the farm from 6:00 – 8:00pm the first three Fridays and Saturdays in December, with an additional appearance on December 23rd. Photos with Santa available. Bring your family to visit him so he knows what they want under your tree.
